Dear Friends

The webinar on 21/2/21 by Bruce Watson, The Man, the Woman and the Edison Phonograph: Race, History, Technology and Song, was an extraordinarily powerful and moving talk, as I am sure those of you who attended will agree. It was about important topics including colonialism, genocide, reconciliation, and the importance of sound preservation. But it told a very human and in many ways positive story.

For those of you who didn't make it, I am pleased to let you know that the recording is now available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/JBG8ioW-pjc  It includes both Bruce's presentation and the interesting and enlightening discussion afterwards.

Those who registered for the event will have received a previous email with this link. Apologies for cross-postings.

Best wishes

Gwenda Davey
